Hello Blogging World!

I am finally jumping on the blogger bandwagon! My inspiration comes from a book I'm reading by a friend of mine, "The Church and the New Media." More on that later (I'm still in the middle of reading it).

Let me explain my blog title: Coffee. For anyone that knows me, coffee has been a big part of my life and remains the main reason why I get out of bed in the morning. I always look forward to my morning cup of goodness. Coffee has not only been my inspiration to start my day, I have many fond memories with friends and acquaintances over a cup of coffee in the coolest coffee shops. I am a sucker for any little, hole-in-the-wall, independent coffee shop. The more unique, the better. Who knows, maybe one day I'll open up my own coffee shop. I like any kind of coffee. But my usual everyday cup consists of delectable coffee, with 2 Splendas and fill the cup with vanilla soy milk to the brim. Yum :)

God. He has always been and will always be the center of my life. He will be brought up a bajillion times because He is my everything.

Twizzlers. Ok, so this may be a confusing addition to those who know me, except one person. Two months ago I went to visit one of my best friends, Kathleen. After she put the kids down for a nap, we sat on the couch chatting. I was supposed to call this guy (who I'm sure you can guess I had the biggest crush on). I was absolutely petrified to call. But I took the plunge and called. He didn't answer and I left a message (thankfully) and as a reward Kathleen brought out her "secret" stash of Twizzlers. Though things in the love department didn't work out, I took a chance. I will not regret taking that chance for the rest of my life. To be successful, you have to take chances. To love, to live, to move forward, you must take a chance, a leap of faith. If you mess up, you mess up. But then you just stand up, be thankful for the lesson learned, and keep walking forward with your eyes on the road to heaven.

I hope you will laugh with me, love with me, and live with me. I will write about whatever comes to my mind.

Love and prayers,
Heather
